Who We Are

OUR STORY

What's Behind the Name

In 1936, my grandfather, Isadore Crystal, began a career in the life insurance business. He sold 10-cent policies to families who could afford the protection. While insurance premiums are no longer 10 cents per week, the values and things he shared with his clients—personal responsibility, mutual respect, providing knowledgeable advice, and delivering prompt, polite service— are still important today.

It was during a visit to his early home at 111 Garden Street in Duluth, Minnesota, that the inspiration of incorporating his history and memory into my business model came to me. With that, Garden Street Financial Group LLC was formed. Those same core values continue to guide me throughout my life.

At Garden Street Financial Group

We Believe. Our values may be traditional, but our thinking is far from it. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion make us all better. We look for ways to support and encourage efforts to advance these positive outcomes in our lives and in the communities that we call home.

For our clients, our goal is to listen to and understand your goals and dreams. For those considering us as a partner, we look forward to welcoming and getting to know you.

Our Mission

Quite simply, our mission is to help you bridge the gap between where you are and where you want to be. To improve your life by providing you with financial peace of mind—for today and tomorrow.

Our Vision

Through our relationship-driven philosophy, we act as a resource and guide, helping you understand your financial situation, providing you with tools and advice, and empowering you to make the best choices to reach your financial goals.

Our Values

My grandfather believed in values like integrity and making sure the advice he gave his clients was no different than the advice he would give to his own family members. These same values drive our business today.
